Why should I re-tile my
pool or spa?
There are a number of reasons why you might want to
re-tile your spa. Existing tile may be falling off or have
been improperly stored. Tile can be damaged if a pool is
not properly winterized. Tile may have been damaged or
severely impacted where tile cleaning will not help. You
may also just want to change the look of your pool.
How much tile should I
replace on my pool or
spa?
Consider how much tile needs to be replaced. If you
need to replace half or more of your existing tile, you
may want to consider replacing all your tile. Check with
Perfection Pools & Spas to understand the trade-offs of
tile replacement and renovation.
Do you have to re-tile
and re-plaster a pool at
the same time?
Re-plastering and re-tiling your pool are closely related,
but it depends on your situation. Tile abuts your plaster.
Some plaster repair may be needed when re-tiling.
Tiling may need to be addressed when re-plastering. Re-
tiling and re-plastering do not have to always be done at
the same time. If you are re-plastering your pool or
repairing plaster, this a good time to consider changing
your tile or adding decorative tile features. Ask
Perfection Pools & Spas about your situation!
