Pool & Spa Removal
Want to remove your pool &
spa?
Although it might make us sad at Perfection, there are times when you
really need to remove your pool and spa. You may have moved to a
property where the pool is not needed. A pool may be in severe disrepair
and the cost to demolish and replace may be excessive. The pool may have
served its purpose and now it’s time for a different backyard.
Perfection Pools & Spas understands how pools were installed, so we’re
prepared to quickly remove them from your property, including the plumbing
and electrical that serviced the pool. We demolish the pool and remove the
debris. We can backfill and tamp soil as needed for the next use of your
yard. Perfection Pools & Spas does not perform landscaping, be we know
some great landscaping contractors we can recommend!
There are various methods for pool removal that may work for you:
•
Partial Demolition, Pool-Fill-in
o
In this approach, the top 2-3 feed the pool is removed and holes
are punched in the bottom of the pool. Debris from the top of
the pool is often placed within the pool before soil is added to
the pool. This approach costs less and is faster to perform.
There may be restrictions from the city and you will need to
disclose this to future buyers of the property.
•
Full Removal
o
All materials are demolished and removed from your property.
The hole is filled and tamped as required for future use so that it
does not settle. This option is more expensive because of debris
removal and additional equipment and time needed for
removal.
•
Other options
o
Both of the above options can be handled with or without
engineering supervision. Depending on your city, having an
engineer perform density testing during backfill may reduce
need for disclosures and will result in soil like the pool was never
there. This option adds cost but it may add value to your
property.
